What an awesome place to train! Finding a great dojo is not an easy task. Melbourne Jiu-Jitsu Academy has it all. It is a very professional and respectful academy that caters to everyone, and prides itself on being inclusive. Ivan the professor is very thorough in his teaching and keeps the academy very clean. All around a great place to train, and a great team environment.

Hands down the best place to learn BJJ in Melbourne! Ivan is a great coach and takes time to explain the techniques in detail and gives fantastic feedback. Awesome group of regulars too, everyone is really friendly, always willing to help you improve. Highly recommend!

Cannot recommend MJJA enough. Ivan has been a fantastic teacher for me and everyone I know in my classes - patient, observant and detail-oriented. I started knowing nothing half a year ago, and honestly I don't think I could have made the progress I did in a different environment. The classes are just the right size, and available in varied enough an amount of times per week to fit my hectic schedule as a hospitality professional. I struggle to consider moving out of the area because of my attachment to the academy!

Family friendly gym with extremely knowledgeable coaches. MJJA is somewhere you can find yourself a welcoming community of people and learn essential life skills. Classes include sport jiujitsu, nogi grappling and self defence techniques. Would recommend to anyone looking to improve or try something new!

My 5yr son loves Ivan's Jiu-Jitsu classes. In a couple of days I could notice the improvement on his confidence. The academy environment is great. We have made good friends there.
